How to unlock the SDA Subverter in MW3 and Warzone

A new battle rifle is coming soon

Season 2 of Call of Duty MW3 and Warzone is arriving soon and introducing four new weapons with it. One of those weapons is the SDA Subverter, which is the first post-launch battle rifle coming to either game.

Described as a “hard-hitting rifle,” the SDA Subverter is said to “dominate at mid to longer ranges thanks to a low rate of fire and predictable recoil.” While this doesn’t sound like the best multiplayer weapon for MW3, the SDA Subverter could make some noise in the Warzone meta. In the guide below, you can see exactly how to unlock the SDA Subverter in MW3 and Warzone when Season 2 launches.

Unfortunately, unlike some of the other weapons in Season 2, the SDA Subverter won’t be available when the new season launches on Feb. 7. Instead, you’ll have to likely wait for the Season 2 Reloaded update to get your hands on the new battle rifle.

The SDA Subverter is marked as coming “In-Season” on the Season 2 roadmap. While it could technically arrive at any time following the initial seasonal update, most in-season weapons come to the game with the big mid-season update.

At this time, it’s unclear exactly when the Season 2 Reloaded update is planned for. Usually, the reloaded update launches at the halfway point between the current and new season, so we could expect Season 2 Reloaded to launch sometime in early March if that’s the case. However, timelines are fluid when it comes to Call of Duty updates, so we can’t be sure until Activision officially announces Season 2 Reloaded.

When the update does arrive, you can expect the SDA Subverter to be unlocked by completing Weekly Challenges. This involves completing five challenges in a specific week, which unlocks the reward for that week.
