The final major content update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard arrived earlier today in the form of Season 5 Reloaded.

The imminent release of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 means these two current games are on their last legs in terms of content. However, Activision didn’t leave fans with nothing in the midseason update. In addition to some other content, two fresh weapons have been released in both games. The BP50 assault rifle and the Lienna 57 light machine gun are the last two guns that will ever be added to Vanguard and Warzone. Today, we’ll be focusing on the Lienna 57 and how to unlock it.

Due to its size, many players originally thought the Lienna 57 was going to be an assault rifle. Of course, with the BP50 also being an AR, it didn’t make much sense for both guns to be in the same class. Instead, the Lienna 57 carries a bit more weight than the BP50, making it an LMG. That doesn’t stop it from being an impressive weapon at close range, though.

According to Activision, the Lienna 57 is a “compact LMG is capable of high accuracy during sustained fire at short to medium ranges. The Lienna 57 favors stability over speed, remaining on target through prolonged fire.”

Unlocking the Lienna 57 in Warzone and Vanguard

In order to unlock the Lienna 57, players either need to complete an in-game challenge or purchase an upcoming store bundle that contains a blueprint for the LMG. The in-game challenge players need to complete to unlock the weapon is:

  • Get 15 long-range kills

This is about as easy as a challenge can come in Warzone and Vanguard. All players need to do is use any gun in either game and secure 15 longshots. A longshot is usually defined as a kill over 30 or so meters with most weapons (shotguns will differ). Once that’s done, players will unlock the base model of the Lienna 57 in Warzone and Vanguard, and they can start using it immediately in both games.
