The ISO 9mm submachine gun is one of the new weapons that arrived in the Season 6 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. While it closely resembles the ISO 45, another recent seasonal weapon, it has already become one of the go-to weapons for aggressive players in multiplayer and battle royale. Unfortunately, it can take a long time to unlock it through the Battle Pass, so you might be searching for a quicker way to unlock the new SMG. Luckily, you can take advantage of an old trick in DMZ to easily unlock the ISO 9mm for use in MW2 and Warzone.
This trick has been around since DMZ launched, and it’s completely safe to do. However, it will require a step that might not be too feasible for some players. Take a look at the guide below to see exactly what you need to do to unlock the ISO 9mm through DMZ.
Unlocking the ISO 9mm in DMZ
Basically, all this unlock method entails is someone dropping you the ISO 9mm in DMZ. Then, you pick up the weapon, add it to your inventory, and extract from the match. Once you successfully extract from the match with the weapon in your inventory, it will be unlocked for you across MW2, Warzone, and DMZ.
Unfortunately, this means you will need a party member who already has the ISO 9mm unlocked and is willing to drop you their version of the gun in DMZ. As a note, this will not cause the player who is dropping the gun to lose their access to the ISO 9mm in MW2 and Warzone; they’re simply giving you their copy of it in DMZ.

Finding a friend or person who has the ISO 9mm unlocked and is willing to help you out might take some time, but it’s the only way to unlock the new SMG through the extraction mode. Of course, if you don’t need the gun in DMZ, you can always hop back into a match with the same friend who just dropped it you. Now, if you equip the ISO 9mm, you can drop it back to that same friend so they can still have access to it in DMZ.
You won’t have it in DMZ anymore, you can still use it in multiplayer and battle royale.
