Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are finally getting their remakes and are already available for preorder. Here’s how to preorder Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

As of Friday, the only way to preorder the upcoming games is through Best Buy. Keep in mind that only hard copies of the games are available from Best Buy. Buyers will be able to pick them up on release day or have them shipped. These games are exclusives for the Nintendo Switch and will release sometime in late 2021.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

The Pokémon Company revealed the long-awaited remakes to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl early on Friday. The games are 3D remakes that will stay mostly true to the original games with some quality of life changes. Players will get a chance to relive the generation four experience with modern graphics and mechanics.

For those that don’t remember, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl takes place in the Sinnoh Region. Players can play as a boy or a girl and get to choose between Turtwig, Chimchar or Piplup for their starting Pokémon. The journey tasks players with catching Pokémon, defeating gym battles, and taking down Team Galactic, who is attempting to steal Pokémon and use them to accomplish their evil deeds.

In the past, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have offered exclusive bonuses to players who preordered the game. For example, players who preordered Pokémon Sword and Shield got 12 bonus Quick Balls to start their journey. They haven’t revealed any of these bonuses so far.

Pokémon Legends Arceus preorder is also available from Best Buy

Additionally, prospective players can also preorder Pokémon Legends Arceus, the other big reveal from the Pokémon Presents on Friday, from Best Buy. This game is Pokémon’s take on an open-world RPG. It takes place in the ancient past before the age of Pokémon trainers and competitive battles where players must venture out to capture Pokémon and complete the first-ever Pokédex.

This game is also a Nintendo Switch exclusive and it will release sometime in early 2022.
