Announced several months ago as part of the Twitch Prime loot program, the Tactical Nuke Goal Explosion is finally available to those Rocket League players who signed up immediately. As the fourth month’s reward, Twitch Prime gives players the chance to blind their opponents (and themselves) by handing out nuclear goal explosions. But if you do not want to pay for four months of Twitch Prime, or if you want it immediately, you can (kind of, sort of) get it straight away if you’re playing on PC.
How to get the (Painted) Tactical Nuke Goal Explosion in Rocket League
Okay, let’s be honest here. If you want to blind your opponents with this spectacular nuke goal explosion, the only way to get it is by having four months of Twitch Prime. The item is non-tradable and only rewarded as the fourth reward. But if you still want to use it straight off the bat, even if you’re the only one to see it, you can, as long as you’re on PC.
Most PC players will be familiar with mods like AlphaConsole and BakkesMod. These (fully allowed) mods allow you to customize your car to your heart’s content. And while only you can see the customizations, when was the last time someone took note of or even complimented you on your car? Exactly. All you need are mods, and they’ll save you a lot of money, especially with the Item Shop’s prices that Psyonix set for us.
But wait, there’s more. With mods you can even get painted items that are not available in the game. Want that sick gold-painted car? Or a sky blue nuke goal explosion (both pictured below)? You can!
But it gets better. Because with mods like BakkesMod in Rocket League, you can even customize your training, install plugins for extra options in free play, and more. Honestly, even if you don’t want to use that nuke goal explosion, you’re missing out on a lot of other good stuff if you’re not using BakkesMod.
