How to get Revenge Kills in MW3

A dish best served cold

Some terms in Call of Duty can be confusing to understand, especially if you’re a newer player. If you’re going for certain camo challenges or perhaps even Daily/Weekly Challenges in MW3, then you have likely seen the term “Revenge Kills.”

For new players, you simply need to know what a Revenge Kill is. However, veteran players who already know what a Revenge Kill is might need to know the best way to go about earning these types of kills in MW3. Regardless of where you fall, you can read about Revenge Kills and how to get them in the guide below.

Getting Revenge Kills in MW3

Revenge Kills are required for the Priceless camo challenge on the Gutter Knife in multiplayer and they tend to pop up in Daily/Weekly Challenges as well.

To earn a Revenge Kill, you need to kill the enemy that killed you in your previous life. You will know you’re successful if you see the “Revenge Kill” term pop up in yellow in the middle of your screen after you kill an enemy. Revenge Kills can be earned in any game mode, including one-life modes such as Search and Destroy or Cutthroat.

Now that you know what Revenge Kills are, let’s go over the best way to get them in MW3. When I was going for Priceless on the Gutter Knife, I immediately went into the Rustment 24/7 playlist. I was specifically looking for Shipment, as smaller maps allow you to get into more engagements with enemies, allowing you to easily find the enemy who just killed you.

Aside from playing on Shipment, though, there are not really any solid strategies for going for Revenge Kills. The best way you can go about it is by letting an enemy kill you, going back to their location after you spawn back in, and trying to kill them. Of course, it’s sometimes difficult to control what enemy kills you, especially on a smaller map like Shipment. You simply have to kill any enemy you find and force your way to earn Revenge Kills.
