To receive Prince Renathal, a player simply has to log in to Hearthstone. This minion is limited to one per account and can also be received after patch 24.6 upon opening up one’s first Murder at Castle Nathria card pack.

Prince Renathal is a neutral legendary minion who lets players begin their game with 40 health. He also allows for a deck of 40 cards instead of the typical 30.

Murder at Castle Nathria expansion

Prince Renathal is not the only character featured in the upcoming Murder at Castle Nathria expansion. Sire Denathrius, also prominent within the World of Warcraft universe’s Shadowlands expansion, is the center of a murder mystery.

Denathrius was murdered in his own castle after inviting 10 guests for an evening soiree, and it’s up to Murloc Holmes and Watfin to solve the case by questioning 10 suspects. These 10 suspects are 10 legendary minion cards, one for each Hearthstone class; some of these include Baroness Vashj and Decimator Olgra.

In addition to 135 new minions, the Murder at Castle Nathria features the Infuse keyword. Cards with this keyword absorb powers upon the death of friendly minions. Once it absorbs enough power, an Infuse card transforms into a more powerful version of itself.

A new type of card, Location cards, kick off a powerful effect once played and activated. Locations have an activation cost of one durability and a one-turn cooldown. A couple of Location cards include Sanguine Depths and Muck Pools.

“Every class gets their own Location card in Castle Nathria, which represents where they claim their suspect was at the time of the murder, and synergizes with the themes of the class,” Blizzard revealed.

Game Designer Leo Robles Gonzalez and Hearthstone player Brian Kibler will further explore this Location card type on Twitch and YouTube on July 1 at 2 p.m. EST. The duo will also reveal some more cards from the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion.
