How to get Point Blank kills for camo challenges in MW3

One of the more frustrating camo challenges every year in Call of Duty require players to earn Point Blank kills. These have returned in MW3, and once again, players are asking how to go about getting Point Blank kills in multiplayer.

Whether you’re a new player or a veteran of the series, Point Blank kills are extremely difficult to get. They require you to get up close and personal with enemies, which can be hard to do on some of the maps in MW3. Luckily, there are some strategies you can use that will make getting Point Blank kills a much simpler endeavor.

Getting Point Blank kills in MW3

First and foremost, we need to go over exactly what a Point Blank kill is in multiplayer. A Point Blank kill is earned when you kill an enemy that is directly next to you. For the most part, you and the enemy need to be touching when you kill them. There is some leeway in the distance you can be from an enemy for it to qualify as a Point Blank kill, but generally, they need to be no more than a foot away from you.

As you might have guessed, the best way to go about getting Point Blank kills is to simply rush at enemies and kill them from behind or right in their faces. While this brute force strategy will work, I have some strategies you can use to earn Point Blank kills much faster and more efficiently. You can see those strategies in the list below:

• Use Smoke/Stun Grenades: By using either one of these grenades, you can make it much more difficult for an enemy to see or shoot you before you can kill them at close range.
• Play on smaller maps: The best playlist to go into for this challenge is either Rust 24/7 or Rustment 24/7. Playing on a smaller map means you don’t have to go as far to get to enemies, thus giving you a better chance at getting close to them.
• Use Covert Sneakers and Ghost: Equipping both of these perks makes it tough for enemies to hear or see you coming from behind. With these perks, you can efficiently flank around enemies to kill them from behind, which is the best way to get Point Blank kills.
• Play objective game modes: While you can play something like Team Deathmatch for this challenge objective game modes usually yield more close-range engagements, especially if you stay near the objective.
