How to get kills with one magazine for camo challenges in MW3

Reloading is not your friend here

One of the more frustrating camo challenges you have to complete in Call of Duty MW3 multiplayer is getting kills with one magazine. This challenge is only found on sniper rifles and light machine guns and requires you to get either three or five kills with a single magazine.

This basically means you can’t reload before getting the specific number of kills you need. While this sounds simple enough in theory, in practice it’s much more difficult. The challenge doesn’t seem to track properly for many players, frequently not counting their kills even though they didn’t reload at all.

In this guide, I’ll go over how to complete this challenge in MW3 and why it might not be tracking for you in multiplayer.

The best way to start the process of completing this challenge is to equip the largest magazine possible on the weapon you’re using. This gives you the best chance to hit your kill requirement without reloading. After that, you can build your loadout any way you want, but adding some mobility attachments to compensate for the larger magazine is a solid strategy.

After your loadout is done, I recommend going into either the Rustment playlist or hardcore game modes. While you can complete this in core modes, hardcore allows you to kill enemies with a bullet or two and should let you finish the challenge much quicker. The Rustment playlist is also recommended since Rust and Shipment are tiny maps that offer the most engagement chances.

When you start shooting enemies for the challenge, there is one key factor to remember: you need to reload after meeting your kill requirement. For example, if you need to kill three enemies with a single magazine, you need to reload after killing the third enemy, regardless of how many bullets you have left in the magazine. If you don’t reload and keep killing enemies instead, then your kills won’t count toward the challenge, resulting in the challenge not tracking properly. As long as you remember to do this, your challenge should track correctly.

So there you have it, the biggest factors to remember are equipping a large magazine and reloading after hitting your kill requirement. Doing those two things will result in this challenge being much easier in MW3.
