There are dozens of different challenges you have the ability to complete in Call of Duty MW3 Zombies. One of the more common challenges you will see in MW3 Zombies is to earn Critical Hits, which the game doesn’t exactly explain how to get.
Critical Hits are required for numerous weapon camo challenges in Zombies as well as Daily/Weekly Challenges. As such, knowing how to get them will result you in being able to earn XP, unlock camos, and complete Weekly Challenge rewards. Below, you can see exactly how to earn Critical Hits in MW3 Zombies.
Earning Critical Hits in MW3 Zombies
Critical Hits are essentially a way to kill zombies in MW3. If you look on your screen while in a match of Zombies, you will see the term “Zombie Kill” pop up when you kill a zombie. However, if you kill the zombie with a Critical Hit, you will see “Zombie Critical Hit Kill.” This is what you’re going for when you need to earn Critical Hits.
You are able to earn Critical Hits by killing zombies with a headshot or killing them by shooting a weakened part of their body. Most of the time, though, the safest and most efficient way to earn Critical Hits is to aim for a zombie’s head when shooting them. This will more often than not result in a Zombie Critical Hit Kill. If you can manage to find the Deadshot Daquiri perk in Zombies, this helps tremendously with going for headshots. However, with how slow most zombies move, you should be able to effectively aim for the head most of the time.
Unfortunately, there are times when you finish a zombie with a headshot and it won’t reward you with a Zombie Critical Hit Kill. It’s unclear if this is a bug or an intended feature, but just know that most headshots will reward you with a Critical Hit. There are just a few instances where the headshot doesn’t register as a Critical Hit.
