If you’ve been trying to complete the challenges for MW3 Season 1 Week 7, but can’t get the game to register your AOK 4.0x RQ-9 optic kills, then you’re not alone. Thankfully, there is a way to complete this challenge, but it’s certainly not obvious.
It’s safe to say that Warzone and MW3 Season 1 Reloaded started with some major issues. From players stuck in infinite loops thanks to the Fetching Online Profile error, to loadout drops breaking the battle royale entirely, it has not been smooth sailing.
If you’ve been completing weekly challenges, you may have noticed that one of Week 7’s tasks is broken too. If you’re struggling and don’t know what to do, here is the answer.
MW3 not counting AOK 4.0x RQ-9 optic kills
As part of MW3 Season 1 Reloaded’s weekly challenges, players are being tasked with finding 30 Operator Kills with the AOK 4.0x RQ-9 Recon scope attached to a recommended weapon.
While this seems easy enough, if you actually get into a game, attach the optic, and get the kills, you will find that the game isn’t registering the kills towards your challenge.
The problem is that the attachment named in the challenge is actually the wrong one. Rather than the AOK 4.0x RQ-9 optic, you actually need to use the KR INTLAS LSJ-3 optic.
Add to that a recommended weapon, which is marked in your loadout screen, and get 30 Operator kills to complete this challenge. It’s definitely an annoying glitch, but at least there’s a way around it. It’s unclear if it was originally meant to be the KR INTLAS LSJ-3 that was used in this challenge, or if the devs have simply put the wrong name in the challenge.
Sledgehammer have yet to acknowledge this issue, but with the sheer volume of problems that appeared when Season 1 Reloaded went live, it’s unlikely to be at the top of their priorities. We’ll be sure to update this article with any new information.
In the meantime, find out why MW3’s Ranked Play was delayed.
