As a reward for defeating a ridiculous number of Gigantamax Pikachu during a special Pokémon Day Max Raid Battle Event, The Pokémon Company is giving away a bundle of free Armorite and Dynite Ore for a limited time.
In a February celebration of Pokémon Day, players had a certain period of time to collectively defeat one million Gigantamax Max Pikachu. If they had succeeded, all players would have received an item bundle consisting of 100 Armorite Ore and 100 Dynite Ore. However, since players fell short of that goal and only managed to knock out around 874,000 Pikachu, The Pokémon Company decided to offer players only 87 Armorite and Dynite Ore.
To claim the free items, follow the steps below:
- Start Pokémon Sword/Shield.
- Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
- Select Get a Mystery Gift.
- Select Get via Internet.
- Choose Item Set Gift.
- Watch as the gift arrives in your game.
- Be sure to save your game.
Once claimed, players can give five Armorite Ore to a Master Dojo Student at the Master Dojo on the Isle of Armor to teach a Pokémon one of the expansion’s new, competitive moves. Meanwhile, the Dynite Ore can be used in a multiple ways, from unlocking special Dynamax Adventure encounters to trading them for rare, valuable items. Either way, both items are highly valuable for any player looking to get the most out of the Pokémon Sword and Shield expansions.
The free Armorite and Dynite Ore is available until March 14, so don’t miss out. Meanwhile, the next Gigantamax Raid Battle event will feature an increased chance to catch Corviknight and Hatterene. Players can participate in this event by selecting Get the Wild Area News while selecting Mystery Gift in the X menu and searching for shinning pillars of light coming from Pokémon Dens in the game’s Wild Area.
