How many missions are in the Modern Warfare 3 Campaign?

With the release of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Campaign, many players are hopping into the story mode to revisit all of their favorite characters and locations from games past. However, there have been some questions as to how much content is in the Campaign.

More specifically, players want to know just how many missions they need to complete before beating the Modern Warfare 3 Campaign.

Of course, just because there’s a certain number of missions in a Call of Duty Campaign doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to be a short or long experience. What really matters is the content within each mission and how much time it takes players to complete their objectives.

All missions in the Modern Warfare 3 Campaign

In total, there are 15 missions in the MW3 Campaign. This is a fairly average number for a Call of Duty story, as multiple other Campaigns have featured this same mission count.

However, what separates MW3 from the others are the Open Combat Missions. Around half of your total missions will be Open Combat, meaning you have freedom in how you approach the mission, what weapons and equipment you use, etc. These missions can either go quickly or slowly depending on how you play them.

The Open Combat Missions are still a part of the total number of missions in the Campaign, though. To see the names of every mission in MW3, look below:

6. Passenger
7. Crash Site
8. Flashpoint

Some of these missions are quite short and none of them take more than 20-30 minutes unless you try to look for every weapon and item in a given area. There are rewards for completing every Campaign mission, though, so make sure to run through each one so you can use extra content when MW3 fully launches on Nov. 10.
