The cunning Lady Prestor

Players familiar with the lore behind World of Warcraft may also notice that the new Onyxia’s Lair Mini-Set trailer gave several nods to the cunning dragon’s story. Onyxia infiltrated the Alliance’s Stormwind City by disguising herself as a human. She called herself “Lady Prestor” while she worked as a council member there.

Meanwhile, Varian Wrynn, who is now the former King of Stormwind, was split into two beings. In the World of Warcraft comic books, one of them fought in an arena alongside Broll Bearmantle and Valeera Sanguinar.

Lady Prestor later met her end when her dragon form got revealed and her plans were thwarted by Varian’s full return.

In Hearthstone, players get to see Onyxia in her human form as an alternative portrait for the Mage class. The Lady Prestor card, which made its debut in the United in Stormwind expansion, is also available to players.

Meanwhile, Onyxia the Broodmother shows the dragon in her true form. This is also the case with the Onyxia card that summons Whelps on the board.
