Hearthstone Grandmasters Week 6 crowns Fr0zen, Gaby and Alutemu

One more week remains before the playoffs

After a weekend of intense matches, Frank “Fr0zen” Zhang, Gabriel “Gaby” Jeanne and Yashina “Alutemu” Nozomi have been crowned as the Hearthstone Grandmasters Week 6 regional champions.

With his victory, Fr0zen now has a total 10 in the Hearthstone Grandmasters America standings, which places him in the ninth spot. Meanwhile, Gaby’s win earned him the top spot in the standings bracket for Europe. Currently, he has a total of 19 points, with David “Frenetic” Neila Quiñones following closely behind with 18 points.

As for the Asia-Pacific region, Alutemu’s win placed him third in the regional Hearthstone Grandmasters standings. He has 16 points, which is just below Wataru “posesi” Ishibashi and Yo Hsin “GivePLZ” Pa.

These points and standings will determine each region’s top 8 competitors, who will duke it out in the Hearthstone Grandmasters Season 2 Week 8 playoffs.

Fr0zen goes 3-0 with Garrote Rogue

Fr0zen earned first place in Hearthstone Grandmasters Week 6 by facing opponents Mihai “lnguagehackr” Dragalin and Luke “NoHandsGamer” Kooken, before besting Ramiro “Rami94” Ponce in the final.

When Fr0zen went up against Rami94, he played Garrote Rogue against Face Hunter and earned the first point. The next game was a mirror match between the two competitors, and Fr0zen once again came out on top. Rami94 played Aggro Druid against Garrote Rogue in the third game, but it wasn’t enough as a Bleed Spell helped Fr0zen achieve lethal.

Gaby earns the top spot

Over in Hearthstone Grandmasters Europe, Gaby competed against players Thijs “Thijs” Molendijk, Simone “Leta” Liguori and Jaromír “Jarla” Vyskočil.

In the final match, Gaby went with his Fel Demon Hunter deck for the first game, but it got knocked out by his opponent’s Rogue. Gaby opted to play Big Warrior next, which tied the score.

After Jarla defeated this deck with the aid of Quest Mage, Gaby used Garrote Rogue to even up the score. With the help of spells and a minion to the face, Gaby defeated Celestial Druid and became the weekly champion.

Alutemu’s Demon Hunter combo

As for Hearthstone Grandmasters Asia-Pacific, Alutemu duked it out against players GivePLZ, Ng “blitzchung” Wai Chung, Park “grr” Kijeong and Alan “AlanC86” Chiang.

The first game against AlanC86 was a Face Hunter mirror match and Alutemu came out on top. This meant AlanC86 opted for Garrote Rogue next, which tied the score 1-1.

After, Alutemu fought using Quest OTK Demon Hunter. Alutemu went into fatigue with Il’gynoth as his last card, but that was all he needed to play out the Demon Hunter combo. He played Il’gynoth, two Mo’arg Artificer minions and two Eye Beam spells to achieve lethal. Alutemu then became the weekly regional champion, after defeating AlanC86’s Handlock.
