The mythical Zarude is currently one of the rarest Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Only available in Japan as a ticket preorder bonus for Pokémon the Movie: Coco, also known as Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle in the US, players in other parts of the world have been waiting for The Pokémon Company to release Zarude worldwide. Thankfully trainers won’t have to wait long to complete their Pokédex.
Players in the United States and parts of Europe will be able to capture their own mythical Pokémon this December. Getting Zarude is easy. All players have to do is sign up for the Pokémon Trainers Club newsletter and wait for a code to show up in their email.
The only difficult part is that trainers must sign up before November 20, otherwise, they will miss out on the deadline for the code. The code is expected to arrive via email in December, but Nintendo did not provide an exact date.
Certain European countries can currently pick up a code for Zarude before the rest of the world. Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can pick up codes from GameStop to get a copy of Zarude through Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Mystery Gift system.
Can’t get enough of Zarude? Neither can we.

Who is Zarude, the Rogue Monkey Pokémon in Sword and Shield?
Described as the “Rogue Monkey” Pokémon, Zarude is a Dark/Grass type. The version of Zarude that trainers will receive will be at Level 60 and with the ability Leaf Guard. It will have four moves preselected for it: Close Combat, Power Whip, Swagger, and Snarl.
Zarude is the only Pokémon that can learn Jungle Healing, which it learns at level 90. This signature move heals the user and its allies 25% of their maximum HP and also heals any non-volatile status conditions like poison or sleep. Jungle Healing is a move that would be invaluable during Raid Battles so expect plenty of players to jump on the chance to pick up their own Zarude.
