Esports organization Gen.G announced it has finished the creation of its newest training facility in Los Angeles. The 13,000 square foot venue will serve as the organization’s headquarters for both employees and its esports players. Since the facility is based in the United States, only their Call of Duty, Apex Legends, and Fortnite rosters will be based in the facility.

Alongside the esports players and employees, some of their US-based content creators will be included. The facility consists of three practice rooms, a cafeteria, a film review room, and streaming setups as well. There will also be areas for players to sleep. The venue will operate in a similar manner to Gen.G’s seven-floor South Korea facility, where players live in close vicinity of the location.

“We feel really great about the state of our organization as we continue to push the industry forward by spearheading initiatives worldwide,” said Chris Park, the Chief Executive Officer of Gen.G Esports. “Our fans can expect Gen.G’s presence to only grow across the U.S. following the announcement of this breathtaking LA facility.”

The facility’s introduction follows training centers also recently announced by teams like Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, and Team SoloMid. The venues act as areas for the players to connect with the organization on a day to day basis. They also serve to centralize its operations, rather than having multiple houses for each of its esports teams. Many see teams as more professional if they have a physical presence, similar to organizations in other sports franchises.

Gen.G’s players will be able to do everything they need to do at the facility. This is because the location boasts a 10 GB/s fiber internet connection. Arnold Hur, Chief Operating Officer at Gen.G, said that the organization tries to ensure its players have a “healthy body [and] healthy mind”. They will have access to gym memberships and personal trainers, along with full access to an Olympic-sized swimming pool and basketball courts.
