The Fortnite World Cup 2019 awaits. Understanding the placement and elimination structure is vital to strategy and play-style for the tournament. Only those who qualify will make the finals on Sundays. The point system is similar to previous competitions. For both duos and solos, the system highly rewards Victory Royales. Those who are able to win multiple games on Saturday will move on to the next round. The scoring varies slightly from duos to solos but emphasizes placement all the same. Players who perform consistently over the two-day period will earn cash prizes.

Scoring
Luckily, the scoring for the 10 weeks of qualifiers for the Fortnite World Cup 2019 is uniform. The points system varies from solos to duos but remains the same throughout the entire competition.
Solos
- Victory Royale: 10 Points
- 2nd-5th: 7 Points
- 6th-15th: 5 Points
- 16-25th: 3 Points
- Eliminations: 1 Point is earned for each elimination.
Duos
- Victory Royale: 10 Points
- 2nd-5th: 7 Points
- 6th-10th: 5 Points
- 11-15th: 3 Points
- Eliminations: 1 Point is earned for each elimination.
Those who earn a Victory Royale in either game mode will receive a minimum of 10 points. That is without a single elimination, which is very unlikely. A team or a single player can easily drop a 15-point game. Those who win games will advance to the next round and eventually the finals.
Tiebreakers
There are four tiebreaker categories before the winner is determined by a coin flip. Tiebreakers will be used for both the overall winner and each individual placement.
- Total points scored
- Total Victory Royales in the session
- Average eliminations per session
- Average placement per match in the session
- Coin flip
Again, the more Victory Royales and eliminations, the better a team will finish. Next, the emphasis is on eliminations. Teams or players who rack up eliminations will receive slightly better compensation. Finally, after points, victories, eliminations, and placements are considered, the winner is determined by a coin flip.
