Fortnite Fall Skirmish Week 1 Results | Kinstaar, Hunter, Zayt, VapeJesus, Zexrow

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

The first week of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish has come to an end, with the Bush Bandits and Rift Riders Clubs taking the lead. Kinstaar and Hunter took first place in the EU bracket, while VapeJesus and Zexrow won in NA. While the previous Summer Skirmish treated the EU and NA regions as separate competitions, the addition of Clubs this season unifies them under a singular banner. For the Fall Skirmish, players are separated into five, 100-person teams, known as Clubs. Eliminations and tournament placement contribute towards players’ Club standings, and these determine overall Club success. We explain these mechanics in more detail below.

Entering the NA bracket today, Bush Bandits had an early lead. Following Kinstaar and Hunter’s dominance during the EU bracket, the Bush Bandits had a lead of 530 points. Dusty Dogs trailed with 395 points, followed by Fort Knights and Lucky Llamas. Rift Raiders trailed in last place with a grand total of zero points. However, the rankings were shaken during the NA series of matches. Due to the victory by VapeJesus and Zexrow, the Rift Raiders gained an immediate 305 points, propelling them up the list.

Hold the Throne | Scoring system

In case you missed the earlier announcement, let’s briefly recap today’s Hold the Throne format. For this week, participants competed in duos matches across six matches. The scoring system was as follows:

  • Victory Royale: +3 Points
  • 2nd and 3rd Place: +2 Points
  • 4th and 5th Place: +1 Point
  • 8+ Eliminations: +3 Points
  • 6-7 Eliminations: +2 Points
  • 4-5 Eliminations: +1 Point
  • Hold the Throne (Most Eliminations in a Single Match): +2 Points

The top ten duos were awarded prizes, both monetary and in Club Points. For the NA series, the element of Hold the Throne secured the title for VapeJesus and Zexrow. Due to an extraordinary performance during the sixth game, the duo managed to surpass NRG Zayt’s seven eliminations, which granted their team an indomitable lead.

Fortnite Fall Skirmish Club Rosters

A new addition for the Fall Skirmish, Epic has assigned members of the professional and streaming community into five separate Clubs. These Clubs are the Bush Bandits, Dusty Dogs, Fort Knights, Lucky Llamas, and Rift Riders. Each week of the Fall Skirmish includes both a Competitive event as well as Trial. While the contestants for each Competitive event must be invited by Epic, any Club member can participate in that week’s Trial. Both formats provide points for the Clubs. At the end of the season, Clubs are awarded additional prize money based on their point totals.

While VapeJesus and Zexrow took top prize in today’s Competitive Hold the Throne tournament, there are plenty of opportunities for the other Clubs to regain ground. Each Club’s 100-person roster was announced earlier today. However, you may notice there are a few vacancies on each team. Epic is currently accepting submissions for players who wish to join each Club, providing those part of the larger community a chance to be involved on a professional level.

That sums up the first week of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish! What were your favorite moments? One particular highlight has to be Ghost Bizzle’s standout performance during game four of the NA bracket. Not only did his end-game maneuvers boost his duo up the rankings, it dominated airplay as both hosts, Zeke and Falloutt, continued to recall his actions.
