The team behind the Fortnite AFL charity tournament is hosting a five-day Fortnite Community Battle. This is one of the biggest tournaments ever with up to 90,000 players and 310,000 fans able to compete. All 18 Australian Rules Football (AFL) teams will be taking part with up to 5,000 fans and players joining each team. This is one of the largest in-game esports events in Australian history.
Fortnite Community Battle
The Fortnite Community Battle will take place over five days, starting today and running until the end of January. Players can register to compete in the tournament. Once you sign up, you’ll be able to choose your footy team. AFL players and Fortnite creators are captaining each of the teams. As a competitor, it’s your job to complete various challenges and earn points for your team.
Everyone who competes will receive an exclusive AFL-inspired in-game item. The winning team will also score big, with each competitor on the team walking away with 800 V-Bucks. The team who comes in second place will also earn 400 V-Bucks for each player, and third will receive 200 V-Bucks per player. Sign up now to score some V-Bucks, grab and exclusive spray, and be part of the action. Each team can have up to 5,000 players who are eligible for V-Bucks. If you miss out on a spot you can still sign up to be a “fan” of the team. You will help the team score points and still earn the exclusive spray.
Starting today, the AFL Gamers Network is teaming up with @EpicGames @FortniteGame in the ultimate club v club battle 💥
You can represent your club and join players like Bailey Smith, Jamie Elliott and James Sicily.
