Day 2 of the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 2 Masters gave us the ultimate regional showdown between North America and Europe for the first time ever since the inception of the game. For over 12 months, fans and analysts alike have theorized and debated on which region is better and after two nail-biting series, the two NA teams came out on top.

Fnatic’s IGL and captain Jake “Boaster” Howlett was on the receiving end of this loss. But speaking with Upcomer in an unexpectedly upbeat post-match interview, he believes it was an overall positive experience for him and his young teammates and that they are positive they can reach the grand finals through the lower bracket.

While Sentinels secured a 2-0 victory over Fnatic, it was a hard fought one and Boaster admitted that they were the better team today. But it wouldn’t be a Boaster interview without some of his trademark cheekiness and jokes. The 26-year-old has captured the hearts of many VALORANT fans since taking to the stage in Iceland and he also took the time to explain to Upcomer the origin of his now trademark catchphrase “first of all, thank you for the question.”
