Flashpoint reveals revised schedule starting March 20

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Flashpoint, the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league, announced the updated schedule to season 1’s matches. To safeguard the health of players and staff, the league revealed on Monday (March 16) it was transitioning to a completely online format. Their announcement came shortly after ESL revealed the reformatting of Pro League Season 11 amid the coronavirus outbreak.

While pandemic concerns continue to ripple through the esports industry, event organizers are taking proactive measures to keep broadcasts and tournaments afloat. Flashpoint has arranged for season 1 teams to either travel back home to continue their matches or compete from Los Angeles-based apartments provided by the league. To better facilitate the groups in such a short transition period, Flashpoint has rearranged both Phase 1 and Phase 2 matches.

According to HLTV, the groups finalized last Thursday (March 12) by competing teams have not been affected. However, group matches will no longer be held on the same day, as previously scheduled. The revised match order means that tournament days will feature games from multiple groups, rather than solely group B, for example. As of yet, only the Phase 1 schedule has been released. The dates for Phase 2 are coming soon, but are still in the process of being finalized.

Flashpoint season 1 matches will be broadcast as previously planned on the organization’s official Twitch channel, Flashpoint. The updated schedule for Phase 1 of Flashpoint season 1 is as follows:

Friday, March 20

  • 12:00 PM EST | Envy (NA) vs. MIBR (Brazil)
