North American esports organization FaZe Clan has announced they have completed the signing process for Marcelo “coldzera” David. The Brazilian CSGO player departs MiBR after being placed on the bench at his request. This roster change was rumored ever since coldzera started posting photos with Nikola “NiKo” Kovač on social media.

Reason for coldzera’s move
Marcelo “coldzera” David is a legendary Brazilian professional player of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. He was ranked as the best CSGO player for two years in a row and has been competing for over 8 years. Coldzera has competed under teams like vTi, Insight, Infernus Gaming, Gamer House, Afterall Gaming, SemXorah, and GoldenGlory. He later joined Brazilian organization Dexterity Team in 2014 and then transitioned to Luminosity Gaming, SK Gaming, and finally MiBR.
Coldzera joined MiBR in June of 2018 and had been playing for the organization until July of 2019. Unfortunately, his multiple first place achievements at events like 2016’s MLG Major Championship in Columbus and ESL One: Cologne on SK Gaming were not continued in this new home. While with MiBR, the biggest event the organization ever took first place in was 2018’s ZOTAC Cup Masters. Frustrated with the disappointing results, coldzera requested to be benched so he could search for a new team. The team ended up signing Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe to fill his role.
Joining FaZe Clan
With the addition of coldzera on FaZe Clan, Niko will most likely become the in-game leader. After Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács left to Na’Vi and Filip “NEO” Kubski parted ways from the roster, Helvijs “broky” Saukants has since joined as the roster’s fifth, on a trial basis. This is the first time since purchasing GuardiaN that FaZe Clan has purchased a player from another team.
The roster currently consists of Håvard “rain” Nygaard, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer, Marcelo “coldzera” David, and Helvijs “broky” Saukants. Janko “YNk” Paunović will remain as the coach. Hopefully, this new addition of talent can bring FaZe Clan back to its massive success in 2017. The new FaZe Clan CSGO roster will make its debut against NRG, at ESL One New York on Sept 26.
