Farming Simulator League gets its lead patron, Corteva Agriscience

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

I still can’t even believe this has happened, but it did — Farming Simulator is officially a thing now in the world of esports, as we have previously reported. The Farming Simulator League announced today according to The Esports Observer that Corteva Agriscience will be its lead patron for the first-ever 2019-2020 season of Farming Simulator League. The interesting thing to note is that Corteva is a company that actually produces seeds and protects crops in the real world, so a very appropriate choice for a patron!

Since Corteva has now partnered with Giant Software for Farming Simulator, players will be able to find Corteva Pioneer seeds and branded crop protection as usable in-game items. Farming Simulator League 19 seems to have attracted a good mix of agriculture industry leaders and others to participate. Hopefully, their first time offering up a professional esports league goes swimmingly; we will just have to wait and see. Farming Simulator‘s popularity is the reason for this happening after all.
