Excel Esports sign Caedrel as content creator

'Caedrel will stream, create YouTube content and have a presence across EXCEL social channels'

Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont has signed with Excel Esports as a content creator. Caedrel played With Excel as a professional jungler from 2019-2020 and reportedly considered coaching for the British organization in 2022, according to Dot Esports last offseason. However, Caedrel decided to continue casting in the LEC. He also streams on Twitch in his free time, peaking at over 10,000 viewers on his channel.

“As an official EXCEL content creator, Caedrel will stream, create YouTube content and have a presence across EXCEL social channels alongside its four rosters of players,” Excel said in a press release.

This suggests that the content produced may not be exclusive to Excel’s LEC team. EXCEL also own a League of Legends team in the NLC, but they are also present in other esports titles such as VALORANT, Fortnite and FIFA.

Caedrel is known for not making playoffs with the team. In 2019 EXCEL finished ninth and tenth for the spring and summer LEC split, respectively. In 2020, EXCEL and Caedrel barely missed playoffs as they finished in seventh place twice.

EXCEL weren’t Caedrel’s first team at the highest level of European League of Legends. In 2018, he played as a mid laner for H2K Gaming before role-swapping to jungler.

Excel are currently in fifth place in the LEC, with a record of 8-7 and one week of competition left. This might finally be the year that Excel will reach playoffs.
