With Episode 3 Act 2 starting Wednesday, VALORANT players will soon get their hands on the game’s new map, Fracture, and potentially the next VALORANT agent, Deadeye, later in the Act. VALORANT’s 17th agent has not been officially announced or showcased, but Riot Games has given the community glimpses into his design and abilities. Data miners and leakers have also dropped early info on the new character.
Here is everything we know so far about Deadeye.
While much of Deadeye’s lore and abilities is still unknown, fans did catch a brief glimpse of him in the WATCH // Year One Anthem video Riot released back in June to celebrate the game’s one-year anniversary. It was only for a few frames, but fans got to see a tall man with a clean-cut look, tattoos and a long gun. Fans can also find concept art for Deadeye hanging on a wall in parts of the video as well.
Deadeye abilities and name
So far, not even the name of this agent has been confirmed outside of appearing in a few lines of code. First discovered by VALORANT data miner floxay, Deadeye appeared in the game’s code back in June listed as a new agent.
For his abilities, fans can only speculate now, as the only information to go off of includes the characters design, name and a short video tweeted out by the VALORANT Twitter account. This video was also the beginning of the Fracture trailer.

With the Fracture trailer also comes a mysterious French accented voice that some has speculated to be Deadeye, connecting the bullet with the aforementioned agent.
The agent’s gun could play a role in his design and could point to his agent designation as either Duelist or Initiator. But Riot has dropped a few different new Duelists and Initiators since the game’s release, so Deadeye may turn out to be Controller or Sentinel of some kind in the interest of adding some options to those roles.
More information surrounding the agent will come out shortly as his expected released is approaching.
