Hearthstone Masters Tour: Murder at Castle Nathria will kick off this Friday and feature a $250,000 prize pool and points toward the Masters Fall Championship. Viewers who watch the esports action will also get to earn up to two Murder at Castle Nathria card packs.

Details released for Masters Tour: Murder at Castle Nathria

The live broadcast for Hearthstone Masters Tour Murder at Castle Nathria will happen from Aug. 12-14 starting at 11 a.m. EST each day.

On Friday, the tournament will begin with four rounds of swiss gameplay followed by four more rounds on Saturday. On championship Sunday, there will be a round of 16, the top eight players, semifinals and finals.

Players will fight under the conquest with a ban format, which will entail bringing four decks and four unique Hearthstone classes into the fray. Each competitor will also ban one deck from their opponent.

In addition to a share of the $250,000 prize pool, players will battle for points toward the Masters Fall Championship, which will take place from October 28-30, according to Blizzard’s announcement. The Masters Fall Championship will feature 16 players and the final invitation to the 2022 Hearthstone World Championship.

The Masters Tour action will be live on YouTube. In addition to the English broadcast, there will be livestreams in Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

How to earn free Murder at Castle Nathria card packs

Viewers who watch two hours of the Hearthstone Masters Tour Murder at Castle Nathria tournament on a qualifying channel will get one card pack from the latest expansion. For the second card pack, viewers must watch two more hours of content. Since the time watched is cumulative throughout the event, viewers don’t have to watch the full four hours in one sitting.

To get started, one must connect their YouTube and Battle.net accounts. This can be done by visiting the “Connected Apps” tab on YouTube and pressing the “Connect” button located beside Battle.net. After following the simple prompts, a player’s accounts will be connected and eligible for YouTube drops.
