The Terrarium divides itself into four equally large sections each sporting a different climate and selection of Pokémon. Here is a breakdown of every biome in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk.

The Savannah biome is a large, open grassland that appears to have a hot and dry climate and is home to a variety of different Pokemon found in real-world Savannahs. Such Pokemon include Zebstrika, Farigiraf, and Mandibuzz. The Savannah biome is also home to the Starter Pokemon Charmander, Totodile, Snivy, Fennekin, Rowlet, and Sobble once the unlock requirements for these Pokemon to appear are met.

Coastal Biome

The Coastal Biome is a piece of land surrounded by water. This makes it the prime habitat of both new and returning Water-type Pokémon like Dewpider and Lanturn as well as non-Water Types that reside near the coast like Smeargle and Crabrawler.

This is also where players can encounter Alolan regional forms such as Alolan Exeggutor and Alolan Muk.

The Canyon biome is a rocky, mountainous area with terrain at various elevations. This section of the Terrarium is home to plenty of different types of Pokémon ranging from Rock and Ground-types as well as Steel and Flying-type Pokémon. Some standouts include Skarmory, Electabuzz, and fan favorite Starter Pokémon like Cyndaquil and Torchic.

Polar Biome

The Polar biome is an icy area perfect for Ice-type Pokémon and other Pokémon who prefer the cold as their natural habitat. Standout encounters in this biome include Lapras, Dewgong, and Reuniclus among many others. Players experiencing the story of the Indigo Disk may become familiar with this biome’s Pokémon thanks to Drayton’s Elite Trial.
