ESL Mobile has now expanded to allow players from the Asia-Pacific region to join the tournament. They will compete with players from North America and Europe/MENA. According to a press release, including more regions will allow for ESL Mobile to be a “truly worldwide competition.”

Competitors worldwide will fight to earn their spot in the finals in popular mobile games such as, Asphalt 9: Legends, Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, PUBG Mobile and League of Legends: Wild Rift and Legends of Runeterra. The ESL Mobile open first launched back in 2019 and was originally open to North America and Europe.

It was that success that has driven millions of players to join in online and move ESL Mobile forward with a new global ecosystem. As of now over 80 countries are eligible to register. ESL has also teamed up with leading game publishers and developers Gameloft, Riot, Tencent and Supercell. Whether you are a viewer or player, ESL wants to offer both a different take on engaging with these titles.

How it will work

To participate in ESL Mobile 2021, head to the official website to register for the game you wish to compete in. Interested players should automatically be directed to their correct region. There will be two seasons this year beginning in April. First will be the regular ESL Mobile followed by the new ESL Mobile Challenge. Challengers will have to compete and win in two ladders in order to advance. The first season will be held entirely online while the finals will be held in-person at various venues. Up for a grabs is a piece of the total USD $650,000 prize pool.

Competition dates:
● April 12 – May 6, 2021: Mobile Open Play (Ladder #1)
● May 7 – May 8, 2021: Mobile Open Play-In Weekend (Ladder #1)
● May 10 – June 3, 2021: Mobile Open Play (Ladder #2)
