Team Envy is showing its face in the Rocket League scene once more. They have signed Vanguard, the team that was formerly signed by Ghost Gaming and released due to financial issues. Ghost recently announced they got new investments, so some wondered if they would re-sign their Rocket League roster, but now, as it turns out, Envy snatched up the team.

Envy signs Ex-Ghost to return to Rocket League and the RLCS
After dropping its European roster back in July 2018, Envy left Rocket League entirely. Not because they were done with the game, but because their European team was unwilling to move to their facility in North America and compete in the North American RLCS. That European team was later picked up by TSM, which has since released the roster after their recent relegation from the top level. It was a sad turn of events with a larger organization leaving the Rocket League scene, and many hoped Envy would instead pick up an American team. It took two years and some teasing, but now they finally have.
Envy (previously Ghost) consists of Braxton “Allushin” Lagarec, Massimo “Atomic” Franceschi, Nick “Mist” Costello, and coach Spencer “Furane” Taub. They finished in sixth place in the North American RLCS9 League but pulled it back together in the playoffs, where they managed to reach top four and “qualified” for the canceled world championships. It would have been Ghost’s first world championship since RLCS Season 4 back in 2017.
Instead of the world championships, however, Envy now has a guaranteed spot in the Rocket League Spring Series this weekend, where they’ll compete for a $125,000 prize pool in the world championships’ absence.
