Winstrike Team Loan

Russian esports organization Winstrike Team received Edward on loan. This was in response to Natus Vincere acquiring Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov from the organization. Edward acted as the roster’s in-game leader from his join date in May of 2019. Since then, the organization went on to place 2nd at the CS Money Premier along with a 7 – 8th finish at 2019’s DreamHack Open Summer event and 2019’s Good Game League tournament.

However, the roster struggled in these and other qualifier events, even with Edward in the lead. The departure of Edward to Na’Vi from the Winstrike Team organization leaves just three players behind. Aurimas “Kvik” Kvaksys revealed that he had been released from the Winstrike Team in August.

Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev is a Ukrainian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. He started his competitive career in Counter-Strike 1.6 with organizations like pro100, Virtus pro, DTS Gaming, HellRaisers, Arbalet UA, and Natus Vincere. He continued with Na’Vi into CSGO for one year, then joined Kazakh esports organization Astana Dragons for a few months. However the team didn’t last long, and Edward moved back to Na’Vi, where he stayed between 2013 and May of 2019.

He was lent to Winstrike Team on a loan after Boombl4 joined the Na’Vi roster. Since then, Boombl4 has taken his place on the Natus Vincere roster. Currently, the Na’Vi roster consists of Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko, Kirill “BoombI4” Mikhailov, Denis “electroNic” Sharipov, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, and Egor “flamie” Vasilev. The Na’Vi club management has stated that Edward will “consider options for his future career” while on the bench.

Natus Vincere plays their next match at BLAST Pro Series Moscow on Sept 13. Will Edward follow Zeus’ footsteps and retire as a professional player? Or will he join another CIS region organization? Let us know in the comments below.
