The streaming war doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon, as leaks suggest three of Twitch’s biggest streamers are set to sign multi-year deals. An announcement will come later today but, according to esports insider Slasher, this will be the big revelation. Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo, Timothy “TimTheTatman” John Betar, and Saqib “Lirik” Zahid will all reveal they’ve signed with Twitch for the foreseeable future. This comes following a series of major departures from the Twitch platform in recent months.
Twitch retaining some of its biggest names
After Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Michael “shroud” Grzesiek left Twitch, many felt the streaming site was on the decline. Their reputation was being dragged through the mud after a series of mishaps, leading to Mixer luring away both shroud and Ninja.

While Mixer did offer a considerable amount of money, Twitch is where the viewers are. Shroud, one of the biggest names in gaming, has lost nearly 85% of his viewership since making the move to Mixer. However, with a contract near $40 million, a loss in viewership isn’t the end of the world.
As for the trio of DrLupo, Lirik, and TimTheTatman, they will be retaining both their viewers and filling their wallets to the brim. Loaded, a brand agency representing each streamer, presumably used the recent Mixer signings as leverage in order to get Twitch to offer the multi-year deals.
According to Slasher, each of the deals are for millions of dollars per year. While it may not be near Mixer’s recent contracts, Twitch holds the stronger viewership and a sense of familiarity for the streaming trio.

With so much money being put into streamers, the deals in the future should only be more lucrative. The only question is which streaming site will make the next move.
