When the team announced the roster change on Twitter, many fans showed excitement for Akaadian’s new role. The player was picked up from Dignitas’ Academy team, hoping this would bring change to their future games. Unfortunately, Dignitas hasn’t been performing too well in the LCS Spring Split. As of this week, they share sixth place with Golden Guardians and 100 Thieves.

Their performance alongside Grig hasn’t been too good, as they’ve lost their most recent games. On Monday’s game against Cloud9, Grig had the lowest CS count compared to his enemy. His overall KDA (Kill/Deaths/Assists) was also disappointing throughout the 2020 season.

Not the first time

This won’t be the first time Akaadian has replaced Grig, as they swapped roles during Grig’s time with Team SoloMid. Due to a wrist injury, Grig was unable to play for some time and the team had to move on without him. When he returned to playing, TSM gave him permission to speak to other teams even though his contract was still ongoing. Once Dignitas picked him up, they trained together for the LCS Spring Split.

Although his wrist injury happened not too long ago, it’s unclear whether this has affected his performance. On Dignitas’ Twitter post, many fans commented on his unsatisfactory results. Since Akaadian has a good track record, many fans are looking forward to improvement within the team.

Grig’s new position

For the time being, Grig will play with Dignitas’ Academy team. Though it may seem like a step back, the veteran player may need more practice in order to improve his gameplay. He has not yet publicly commented on the recent role swap.

Dignitas will go head-to-head this weekend with both 100 Thieves and Golden Guardians. Be sure to tune in to Daily Esports for more updates regarding the 2020 LCS Spring Split.
