Esports training facilities are becoming increasingly popular, and that includes Verizon’s new Dignitas training facility. This 5,500 square feet facility will serve as the headquarters for the North American team. In an official Verizon video, Dignitas’ CEO Michael Prindiville goes into detail about the exciting news.
“This partnership makes so much sense because the goals of Dig and Verizon are aligned. We’re here to solve problems and innovate in the most exciting industry in the world,” says Prindiville. This collaboration will help the League of Legends team improve their performance and connect with their fans.

West coast space
Dignitas will locate their facility on the west coast in Los Angeles. It will also include Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network, allowing for seamless connectivity with games. Moreover, the Verizon 5G Lab will be the nation’s first 5G esports training facility.
Heather Garozzo, Vice president of Marketing for Dignitas, describes parts of the facility. “We’ve got a dedicated LCS room. […] This 20 person stage.” She continues, “No other team has this stage in their facility, and that’s going to bring in so many opportunities for us.” Through some clips of the construction, viewers can see their trademark black and yellow colors painted on the walls.
Fast connectivity
Additionally, Nicki Palmer, chief product development officer at Verizon, also shared a few words. In an official press release, he states “We’re thrilled to partner with the largest ownership group in esports.” He mentions the opportunities that come with this partnership as Dignitas will experience the 5G connection. “With 5G’s fast speeds, high bandwidth and low latency, players will be able to do things like stream high-quality gameplay essentially in real-time.”
Overall, this is one of many recent announcements made by NA League of Legends teams. Just two days ago, 100 Thieves announced their own new training facility. Along with that, FlyQuest and Gen.G have also revealed their plans for new spaces. Dignitas will train exclusively in their new space as they practice for the upcoming League of Legends Championship series.
