Ghost’s history in League of Legends

Ghost first entered the League of Legends scene at age 16 as a trainee on the former CJ Entus team. However, he didn’t play his first official League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) debut game until March of 2016. He turned 17 shortly before his competitive debut, though he started out with a tough 2-0 loss against the MVP team.

After being released from CJ Entus in November of 2016, he went on to play for various Challengers Korea teams, including ESC Ever, BBQ Olivers, and Team Battlecomics. His results were nothing to write home about, but Ghost worked hard to improve himself.

After the 2018 LCK season ended, Ghost had the opportunity to join Sandbox Gaming, formerly known as Team Battlecomics. In 2019, this team went on to become one of the best teams in the LCK, ending the season with a 13-5 set score in the Spring season. In the summer season, however, the team further improved themselves. They bumped up their previous regional playoffs result from 5th place to 4th before losing to T1.

Ghost’s contract with the Sandbox Gaming organization ended after the 2019 LCK season. While Ghost more than proved himself throughout the year, the team decided against renewing his contract at the time. The main reason for this was that they had the opportunity to sign Moon “Route” Geom-su and Han “Leo” Gyeo-re.

Fighting for the starting spot

On the new Damwon Gaming roster, Ghost is now set to compete with Sin “Nuclear” Jeong-hyeon for the starting position. Nuclear, though, has been with the Damwon Gaming organization since May 2018. Because of this, it is expected he will remain the starting Bot laner at this time.
