Dallas Call of Duty gives an update on their roster and brand reveal

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It looks like we won’t be waiting much longer for the next domino to fall in the Call of Duty League. In a Twitter video, Dallas Call of Duty owner Mike “hastr0” Rufail has given us an update on when the organization will be revealing what they’ve been working on. This includes the roster’s starting five as well as the branding for the Dallas team. Although we already have some speculation as to who’s on the roster and what the brand will entail, we now have a timeline for official announcements.

Dallas next in line to reveal their plans for the 2020 CDL

Following an addition to Minnesota’s CDL team, the ball keeps rolling with hastr0’s announcement. Among the 12 teams in the Call of Duty League, Dallas has been especially mute up to this point. But on Oct. 14, Dallas will begin revealing its CDL roster in daily increments on Twitter. So Monday will feature one signing, then Tuesday another, and so on.

After they have revealed their starting five, the organization will hold a live stream on Saturday, Oct. 19. This stream will unveil the team name, logo, and other branding information. You can find out how to watch this stream by keeping up with their Twitter feed.

While it will be nice to get some official announcements, we do have some inside knowledge about both their roster and brand. Coming from @INTELCallofDuty on Twitter, the Dallas roster may have already been leaked. The alleged Dallas Call of Duty starting five are as follows:

  • James “Clayster” Eubanks
  • Ian “Crimsix” Porter
  • Indervir “iLLeY” Dhaliwal
  • Cuyler “Huke” Garland
  • Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro

If the Dallas roster does turn out to be true, then very few teams will be able to keep up with Dallas’ talent and firepower. Something to keep an eye on with this roster is the alleged signing of iLLeY. An uber-talented player, iLLeY hasn’t been able to play professionally due to his age. However, he turns 18 on Oct. 20, so this will be his rookie year if he is indeed on the roster.

In addition to the roster leaks, we also received a leak yesterday about Dallas’ branding. Accidentally revealed in the new CDL website’s code is the alleged team names for all 12 CDL teams.

CDL teams, Dallas Empire

For some time, the rumor has been that Dallas will be named “Empire,” and the above image corroborates this. While it isn’t official, we would be surprised if Dallas Call of Duty wasn’t named Empire.

Make sure to keep up with Daily Esports so you don’t miss any of the future CDL announcements!
