Inventories do carry over

Breathe out and relax, CS:GO fans. Your inventory will carry over from your CS:GO account to your Counter-Strike 2 account. From what Valve revealed, CS2 is a significant update for Counter-Strike with the Source 2 engine. However, it isn’t so much of an update that inventories will be affected.

Instead, the new graphics and Source engine will make the new guns shine. This will give fans a better look at their unique items.

Speaking of improvements, the team confirmed via their website that all inventory items will get visual improvements for Counter-Strike 2. The website states that “in addition to supporting legacy models and finishes, all stock weapons have been upgraded with high-resolution models, and some weapon finishes take advantage of these new models.”

Lastly, if you don’t have access to the limited test and want to see what the changes look like, go to the website linked above. It has a short video and shows exactly what guns, sprays and more look like. But, if you want to get into the limited test and see it firsthand, make sure to check in CS:GO for your invitation.
