Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Dec. 15 weapon balancing patch notes

Raven Software will likely continue to push out updates in the coming weeks

A new update in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 1 has gone live. The patch notes for the update include a flurry of weapon balancing changes, many of which apply directly to Vanguard guns. There were also some updates to recoil and bloom, the latter of which was a hot-button issue the past week. Bloom was transferred to Warzone from Vanguard but Raven Software immediately decided to scale it back after player feedback. Now, bloom is virtually unnoticeable when using Vanguard guns.

Raven stressed that the apparent extreme changes to weapons like the 3-Line Rifle from Vanguard aren’t as negative as they seem. When using the gun’s attachments, the 3-Line Rifle and other weapons are still usable in Warzone Pacific. As for the other Vanguard snipers, they seem to have received a buff. The Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle was nerfed but snipers, like the Kar98k and Type 99, had some stats increased.

Also, the recoil changes are apparent when playing on the new update. Vanguard weapons now feature much less randomness when firing, allowing more accuracy.
