Boston Breach could be subbing out Capsidal ahead of CDL Major IV

Capsidal could be a new roster casualty

Before Call of Duty League Major IV begins, it appears a flurry of teams are making roster changes: The LA Guerrillas announced two roster moves earlier in the week, picking up the Major II MVP and a former NYSL player; the Paris Legion are apparently subbing out a veteran for a Challenger player; and the Boston Breach appear to be making a very similar move. The team has yet to formally announce any such move as of yet, but according to a recently-formed Challengers team’s roster, rookie player Kenyen “Capsidal” Sutton may be off Boston’s starting roster.

Capsidal was recently discovered to be on a new Challengers team that also consists of current Florida Mutineer Dave “Davpadie” Maslowski, which would indicate that Davpadie is likely off Florida’s starting roster as well. Capsidal and Davpadie were playing in the Challengers Cup #12 tournament over the weekend. Capsidal also tweeted an ominous photo after rumors started to fly about this new Challengers roster.

Capsidal’s apparent benching has fans shocked, to say the least. Boston has been an above-average team at times this season, but they had a poor Major III qualifier round and tournament. Most fans didn’t think one bad stage would be enough for the team to make a roster change so close to CDL Champs, but it appears Capsidal is the odd man out going forward in Major IV, which begins on June 24. Capsidal currently has a 1.01 overall KD this season, which is third among all rookies in the league, but he has had issues with consistency since Major I.

It’s currently unclear who the Boston Breach could be targeting to replace Capsidal on the starting roster. They’ll need to target a submachine gun player to pair with TJ “TJHaLy” Haly. As of right now, there could be a few different SMG players on the market, including the Mutineers’ Reece “Vivid” Drost. Florida is in the midst of making a couple of roster changes, as shown by Davpadie joining Capsidal’s Challengers team. In addition to Davpadie, Vivid has been rumored to be out as well, which could lead to the SMG slayer ending up on the Breach.

These roster moves should become official later this week as teams continue to prepare for CDL Major IV.
