Blizzard announced its upcoming plans for Hearthstone and World of Warcraft expansions, as well as a mobile game, on Monday. All three upcoming plans are slated for 2022, the first of which is to be revealed on March 15. This will be followed by details of Hearthstone’s other plans for the year, which will include changes to the core set.
As players anticipate the new Hearthstone expansion reveal, they can look forward to the current season of Hearthstone Grandmasters. A prize pool of $250,000 is on the line alongside regional invitations to the Hearthstone World Championship.
Additionally, Hearthstone Battlegrounds Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders will run from April 2-3. This will be followed by Lobby Legends: Noblegarden from May 14-15.
New World of Warcraft expansion
The new World of Warcraft expansion will be revealed on April 19. It will also involve a special online preview, according to the email announcement. Until then, players can participate in the latest content update for the Shadowlands expansion. Players can also experience the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid while cheering for their favorite World of Warcraft team in the Race to World First event.
Those who are into WoW Classic can also face the Blood God Hakkar, receive the rewards in Season of Mastery and continue going beyond Zul’Gurub city. Meanwhile, players can prepare themselves to face Illidan Stormrage in Burning Crusade Classic Phase 3.
The World of Warcraft Arena World Championship will kick off on March 18. Meanwhile, competitors who want to become the best dungeon-runners must sign up via GameBattles by March 28 and pass the Mythic Dungeon International Time Trials phrase.
Blizzard also teased a new Warcraft mobile game that will be revealed in May. According to the email announcement, there will be a preview of “Warcraft’s first game built from the ground up for mobile.”
