The release date for Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been pushed from December 10 to the 16. Announced earlier today, Activision let the community know of the news in a blog post that details the new roadmap. Fans of both Multiplayer and Call of Duty: Warzone are disappointed to hear of the delay but also excited for the new content. However, one fan base that is apparently left out is the Zombies community. Activision revealed very few details about the Season 1 content for the undead mode. Moreover, it seems there won’t even be a new map released to go alongside Die Maschine.
Zombies receiving little content in Black Ops Cold War Season 1
At launch, the Zombies mode had a marginal amount of content at best. While Die Maschine is a joy to play, fans are used to seeing more than one playable map upon release. Black Ops 4, for example, launched with three maps on launch night.

Pair the single map with a handful of Perks and Field Upgrades and the Zombies community is getting burnt out already. However, the thought was Treyarch was simply waiting to release a whole new wave of content with Season 1. Unfortunately, though, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
In the blog post released today, Activision only states that Zombies will receive a “new mode.” There’s no word on what this could be, but fans were expecting much more. While there could be new Perks and Field Upgrades introduced, the new mode is the only official information we have. Leakers have even found evidence of some potential new items.

However, there’s no telling if this Zombies content will release with Black Ops Cold War Season 1 or not. As such, the Zombies community is quite disappointed with how little the mode is receiving. Of course, the full story isn’t set in stone yet, so there’s still hope a new map and other items are coming soon.
