Black Ops Cold War dataminers find evidence of two new Perks

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is on the horizon and the leaks for potential content are starting to pour in. As the December 10 launch date draws closer, dataminers are discovering more and more possible items in the game files. So far, there’s been evidence of multiple maps, several cosmetics, the Mac-11 SMG, and the K9 Unit Scorestreak. However, yesterday a new leak surfaced that hints at a pair of Perks that could also be included with the Season 1 update.

New Perks datamined for Black Ops Cold War

As of the time of writing, there’s no way to ensure that the leaked Perks are for Season 1 of the game. However, since they are located within the files before the big update, there’s a good chance Treyarch is planning to release them soon. Although, as with all leaks, take the information with a pinch of salt.

The leak regarding the new Perks comes from @TheGhostofMW2, a trustworthy datamining Twitter account. According to the miner, the two potential Perks already have images made for them. It seems we know the identity for at least one of the Perks with the second more of a guess at this point.

The first image with the winged foot is almost certainly Lightweight. This classic Perk simply makes players run faster and longer and also could allow for faster mantling. As for the second image, we can’t be too sure. However, some guesses were made that this could be a Quick Fix-type Perk, which would allow players to heal faster.

While these Perks leaks are exciting, the dataminer does state that it’s unclear as to when they could arrive in Black Ops Cold War. Season 1 seems like the most logical guess, but it’s hard to tell at this point. As Season 1 draws closer though, more details should become available.
