The Sidewinder is arguably the worst weapon in all of Call of Duty MW3 multiplayer, featuring no redeeming qualities. Its damage range, recoil control, and fire rate are abysmal, which is quite surprising for a battle rifle in multiplayer. If you even think about using the Sidewinder in MW3, I highly suggest going with my strongest loadout for the weapon so you don’t get totally outclassed by other guns.
To see the best loadout for the Sidewinder in MW3, keep reading my guide below.
Best Sidewinder loadout in MW3
- Muzzle: VT-7 Spitfire Suppressor
- Barrel: Tempus Predator Precision Barrel
- Optic: MK. 3 Reflector
- Stock: RB Regal Heavy Stock
- Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
Since the Sidewinder has such terrible damage range and recoil control by default, those are the two areas I’m primarily focusing on with its attachments. This is kicked off with the VT-7 Spitfire Suppressor and the Tempus Predator Precision Barrel, which improve damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control. The Bruen Heavy Support Grip also greatly boosts recoil control and gun kick control.
To give you the most recoil control possible, though, you also have to equip the RB Regal Heavy Stock, which also offers some slight mobility improvements. Finally, I have the MK. 3 Reflector as my optic of choice, as it’s the best option for mid-range gunfights in MW3.

And that fully completes the Sidewinder’s loadout. It’s not going to be a strong weapon even with its best attachments, but at least now you can kill some enemies instead of just seeing hitmarkers in multiplayer.
