Best RAM-9 loadout for competitive in MW3

The RAM-9 is a new submachine gun added in Call of Duty MW3 Season 2, but it’s currently not available to use in Ranked Play. However, professional players in the Call of Duty League have been trying the SMG out as a Rival-9 replacement in their online scrimmages, which has piqued the curiosity of the community. If you’re interested in trying out the RAM-9 as a competitive weapon in MW3, you’ll need the strongest loadout for it.

• Muzzle: Purifier Muzzle Brake S
• Stock: Hunker-5 Stock Pad
• Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop
• Comb: FT Polycomb
• Rear Grip: Retort 90 Grip Tape

The RAM-9 can be a bit shaky when it comes to recoil control, so my loadout addresses that need above all else. I start out with the Purifier Muzzle Brake S to bring the RAM-9’s horizontal recoil control way down, which is sorely needed. Then, the Hunker-5 Stock Pad and Retort 90 Grip Tape both reduce recoil even further. I have also included the FT Polycomb on the loadout, which offers a ton of accuracy at the cost of mobility.

However, we can slightly make that mobility back up with the XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop. I decided to use this over the DR-6 Handstop for its added movement speed, making you a little faster on the map while keeping your ADS and sprint-to-fire time high. While the RAM-9 does still have a little recoil, it’s certainly something you can manage, especially at closer ranges.
