Best RAM-7 loadout in MW3

The RAM-7 assault rifle is one of the new weapons introduced in the Season 1 update of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Alongside the Stormender and the XRK Stalker, the RAM-7 looks to be the strongest weapon of the bunch, but only with its strongest loadout in MW3.

Older Call of Duty fans might recognize the RAM-7 as the classic TAR-21 from the original MW2 or a replica of the RAM-7 from MW2019. In MW3, the assault rifle is a bit shaky, featuring a ton of recoil during sustained fire and average mobility. However, if you can tamp down the RAM-7’s recoil, you have a high damage rifle that can kill enemies quickly from most ranges.

Best RAM-7 loadout in MW3

  • Muzzle: Casus Brake
  • Barrel: Cronen Headwind Long Barrel
  • Stock: HVS 3.4 Pad
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Rear Grip: Retort Grip

I’ll start off the loadout with the Casus Brake, which drastically increases horizontal recoil control and adds extra stability that other muzzles don’t offer. If you use the RAM-7 at all, you’ll likely notice how jumpy it is side to side when you’re shooting, so this muzzle along with the Bruen Heavy Support Grip should help alleviate that. If it’s not enough, though, I have the HVS 3.4 Pad stock and Retort Grip to provide even more recoil control.

The final attachment on the loadout is the Cronen Headwind Long Barrel, which improves bullet velocity and damage range. You will notice I have not equipped an optic on this loadout; I think the RAM-7 has decent enough iron sights to get away with this. Also, with these specific five attachments, the RAM-7 has virtually no recoil, so you really shouldn’t need an optic.
