The Kar98k has been considered the top sniper rifle in Call of Duty: Warzone ever since the battle royale launched in 2020. The confusing part about the Kar98k’s popularity is that it’s not even a sniper. It’s actually defined as a marksman rifle. Of course, players who have used the Kar98k and its loadout in Warzone know that it’s more dangerous than any other sniper on Verdansk.
For starters, the Kar98k has unparalleled mobility, with only the Swiss K31 coming relatively close. While the Kar doesn’t have the damage output of other snipers, it does have tremendous range and bullet velocity, meaning bullets can kill enemies in the blink of an eye at any range. To get these results, though, players will need to utilize its recommended loadout in Season 5 of Warzone.
Best Kar98k loadout in Warzone
The recommended loadout for the Kar98k features attachments to help it maintain its best-in-class mobility. However, it doesn’t sacrifice any other stats to do so. Like most other loadouts in Warzone, the Monolithic Suppressor is at the top of the attachment list. It reduces recoil, improves damage range and adds suppressed fire. Following that attachment is the Singuard Custom 27.6″ Barrel to add more damage range and bullet velocity.
The final two attachments, aside from the Sniper Scope, boost the Kar98k’s mobility even further. The Tac Laser and FTAC Sport Comb both increase aim-down-sight time, which is vital to the Kar98k’s success in Warzone. Players won’t have to worry about using other snipers in Warzone with this Kar98k loadout at their disposal.
