Best competitive SMG loadouts and classes for MW3

If you’re a competitive player or are looking to get into the competitive scene in Call of Duty MW3, then you need the right loadouts and classes before doing anything. Your overall class is the foundation for your playstyle and success in any competitive match. For all of you SMG players out there, there are a couple of loadouts you should know about for competitive play in MW3, and you can see them in the guide below.

Best competitive SMG loadouts in MW3

As of right now, the only SMG being used in the Call of Duty League and across competitive websites is the Rival-9. This fast-firing SMG is far and away the best weapon in its class and its loadout only makes it stronger, especially at longer ranges. However, there is also another SMG and loadout you can consider if you’re looking to change things up from the meta.

Rival-9 Loadout

• Muzzle: Purifier Muzzle Brake S
• Barrel: Rival-C Clearshot Barrel
• Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
• Stock: MTZ Marauder Stock
• Rear Grip: Rival Vice Assault Grip

Striker 9 Loadout

• Muzzle: Purifier Muzzle Brake S
• Barrel: Striker Recon Long Barrel
• Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
• Stock: FSS Priority Tactical Stock
• Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip

My second pick for a competitive SMG is the Striker 9. While this SMG doesn’t kill nearly as fast as the Rival-9, it has almost no recoil and incredible mobility. I recommend opting for the Striker 9 if you’re someone who has trouble controlling the Rival-9, as my loadout for the Striker 9 shoots extremely straight.

Best competitive Class Setup for SMGs in MW3

Now it’s time to fill out the rest of your loadout for competitive play in MW3. This includes picking your secondary weapon, vest, equipment, perks, and Field Upgrade. You have to remember, though, that I can’t pick certain items due to competitive restrictions, so keep that in mind.
