Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson has officially moved from the Chicago Huntsmen to the Atlanta FaZe. Arcitys’ move from Chicago was rumored shortly after the 2020 CDL season finished. CDL Intel on Twitter released several rumored rosters, with Arcitys’ move to Atlanta being the most concrete rumor. Last week the Chicago Huntsmen released Arcitys and his twin brother Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson.

The brothers were teammates during Black Ops 4 on EUnited and went on to win the Call of Duty World Championship in 2019. When the Call of Duty league franchised in 2020, the world champion EUnited roster was split up into three different teams. James “Clayster” Eubanks went to the Dallas Empire, which lead to him winning back-to-back championships. Chris “Simp” Lehr and Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris, the “tiny terrors” in Black Ops 4, went to the Atlanta FaZe.

Each member of the previous EUnited roster went to rosters who were top three in the league. Arcitys’ move from the Chicago Huntsmen to the Atlanta FaZe reunites him with the tiny terrors. They won their first world championship together and will now have the chance to do it again.

Arcitys move makes FaZe even stronger

The Atlanta FaZe finished first overall during the regular season after winning two home series, including their own in February. Their dominant performance was unmatched by the rest of the competition in the league. Regardless of how well Chicago Huntsmen and Dallas Empire did, fans consider Atlanta to be the best team.

Arcitys was a key factor in Chicago Huntsmen’s success throughout the entire year. FaZe’s announcement for Arcitys includes the most famous instance of this. When Chicago and Atlanta faced off for the first time, Arcitys clutched a 2v1 to win the round and the game. His raw talent as an assault rifle helped secure Huntsmen wins and only lifts the Atlanta FaZe. Many fans on social media have considered the addition of Arcitys to be the best move in the offseason thus far.
