Nintendo hosted an Indie World Showcase on December 15, highlighting upcoming Switch games made by independent developers. It showed off notable titles like Super Meat Boy Forever and both of the Spelunky games. Perhaps most significantly, the Showcase revealed that Among Us would become available on Nintendo Switch shortly after the presentation.
Among Us was the final reveal of the Indie World Showcase. The game’s iconic Emergency Meeting buzzer interrupted the narrator, leading into a reveal trailer. Excitingly, the trailer concluded by confirming a same-day launch for Among Us on Nintendo Switch.
Fans can purchase Among Us on the Nintendo Switch right now for $5. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to play the game. Notably, the Switch is the first major console that now carries Among Us. Of course, the Nintendo Switch version of the game supports cross-platform play with the PC and mobile versions.
