Nerfs and buffs in League of Legends Patch 12.6

Azir, Darius, Nidaleee and Jax are the four champions with buffs in Patch 12.6, as they have all become unpopular among players due to certain weaknesses.

Patch 12.6 will increase Azir’s health growth to 105 in order to help him become a better mid lane pick in professional play. Compared to Le Blanc and Corki, Azir has only been picked once in the 2022 League of Legends European Championship spring playoffs. Moreover, the champion was only picked twice throughout the LEC spring split regular season.

Furthermore, Riot has increased the base damage of Darius’ R, Noxian Guillotine. His minimum true damage is now: 125/250/375 (+75% bonus AD).

As for Nidalee, Riot decreased the mana cost on her W (Bushwack) and E (Primal Surge), while changing her cougar damage radius to 250. Additionally, Jax gets base health and a W (Empower) damage increase to accelerate item power spikes.

For Patch 12.6, only Hecarim and Tryndamere received nerfs. Hecarim’s nerf comes in form of deductions to his Q (Rampage) and E (Devastating Charge) base damage. Meanwhile, Tryndamere’s E cooldown reduction per critical strike is now 0.75 seconds (1.5 seconds against champions). His R (Undying rage) cooldown will also increase to 130/110/90 seconds.

Additionally, Riot has removed the Ravenous Hunter rune for the new Treasure Hunter rune to curb sustain in-game. Treasure Hunter will instead give players extra gold for takedowns. Each player gains 70 gold when they claim the Bounty Hunter stack. This bounty increases by 20 gold for each Bounty Hunter stack.

Rengar adjustments completed

Patch 12.6 also comes with big adjustments to Rengar’s kit. According to Riot, the goal of these adjustments is “to smooth out Rengar’s gameplay, keep his current playstyle and clarify his builds.”

Asides from this, Riot also fixed several bugs for Illaoi while updating her ultimate to allow for greater control over her tentacles.

  • Battle Bunny Prime Riven
  • Battle Bunny Miss Fortune
  • Battle Bat Vayne
  • Battle Wolf Sylas
  • Battle Cat Jinx

The Ashen Knight Pyke skin will also be released in this patch.
